Oconomowoc High School
Class of 1962
Proudly Presenting:
The OHS62 40th Reunion Production Team
A big part of the success of our 40th reunion was the involvement of so many of our classmates in putting it together. Here's a partial list of those who made it happen ...
Pat Anderson Lippert - Attended a planning trip to Palm Springs, made several key phone calls to boost attendance, and proofread the Class Directory.
Terry Esrael - Expert photography services, including lugging those risers all the way from Lexington, Kentucky, and setting them up in the heat and humidity of Saturday afternoon.
Cappy Furlong - Theater passes for all ... conceived, designed, produced and FedExed within a matter of days.
Mike Gibbs - Volunteering a much-needed pontoon boat in the nick of time ... and bringing it all the way from Minnesota!
Ray Heizer - Ray had the best job in the world for several months, keeping track of the details, while reconnecting and coordinating with so many classmates on a daily basis.
Nancy Herro Hill - Getting the Okauchee crowd out in great numbers.
Kay Kemnitz Rouse - Jelly bellies, and many calls and letters to turn out our classmates.
Tom LeMoine - Tom brought his speed boat from Illinois and provided relay services back and forth to the pontoon boats all day Sunday.
Jim Licht - Massive amounts of beverages provided for Friday and Sunday without a hitch.
Dale Lochel - World class Merlot wine and emceeing services ... his unplanned, unrehearsed tribute to our very special guest, Dorothy Babcock, was phenomenal.
Jim Lutz - The golf outing on Friday, plus almost everything we did on Saturday, was the result of Jim's inspiration and follow through ... from the first cup of coffee at Art's, to shooting hoops in the New Gym, to the last gag gift on Saturday evening. Then he was back on Sunday with beer, water, a pontoon boat and the other relay speed boat.
Vic Nohl and Jon Olsen - Vic and Jon both did a lot to make it possible for Gary Schmidt to attend the reunion.
Dan Paicopulos - Dan did not attend, but he hosted the first meeting in Palm Springs last October where this reunion was launched in phone discussions with Jack Steinman, and participated in the other planning meetings.
Donna Peebles Christenson - Much expert advice to this year's new committee members and a great show Saturday evening.
Maryalice Ridgewell and Wayne Rosenow - Maryalice and Wayne did far more than host the best barn party ever. They provided countless hours of guidance to the new committee members over the months, and their knowledge of local events and class history proved invaluable. Their services are now on-going as custodians of the newly designated Official Class of 1962 Clubhouse, as well as the "last four classmates" bottle of Merlot donated by Dale Lochel.
Lillian Rolefson Nordin - A breath of fresh air, recruited at the last moment to ably assist Lutz and Lochel during the program Saturday evening. This was exactly what was needed after the untimely power outage! Earlier, Lillian 'made the difference' in getting a key attendee or two to come.
Gary Schmidt - Gary hosted two reunion planning meetings totaling five days in Palm Springs in January and March.
Carl Scott and Louis Sticks - Carl and Louis lent us the proper level of solemnity Saturday night in remembering our departed classmates and our alma mater.
Grace Snyder Wright - Grace attended the March planning meeting in Palm Springs and served as a key resource. Among other things, we never would have found John Riddle were it not for Grace.
Jack Steinman - Jack provided senior mentoring services through the planning process, plus he was an admirable Commodore of our six boat flotilla on Sunday.
Janet Utter Smart - Janet played a key role in getting so many folks to turn out.
Chuck Vogt - Chuck set the vision and raised the bar. The importance of these actions cannot be overestimated. Down in the trenches Chuck also made an early reconnaissance visit to Oconomowoc from California, made sure the class directory was printed, came up with our very fancy reunion cake, and, yes, he hired the band.
M. R. Wilkinson - Planning efforts in Palm Springs plus coming up with a key pontoon boat at the last minute.
Leslie Winkler Moore - Leslie attended the March planning meeting in Palm Springs, and from then on, as our secret weapon, worked many, many hours calling our classmates. This made a huge difference in turnout. She also proofread the Class Directory.
Joan Wissbaum DeLillo - Joan saved us from becoming just another Enron or dot.com alumni outfit by ably tallying our Jelly Belly ballots and declaring no fewer than 15 winners! Let's hope she does not elect to audit the committee's books lest she find how much of the budget was spent on wine, women and song.
Everyone Else - the countless, untold others, including quite a few spouses, who lent support and encouragement to the committee during the planning and execution of our reunion weekend also deserve a HUGE THANK YOU!!!! Each attendee added geometrically to its success ...
