Hello from Yellowknife

Just a few pictures to keep you informed that we haven't fallen of the earth yet. We left Alaska and are on our way through the Northwest Territory in Canada. We reached Yellowknife yesterday on a lonely road. There was hardly any traffic. Most of the way it was through flat country on a dirt road. Sometimes it was packed gravel and sometimes paved. Just before we came to Yellowknife the road became the worst be have encountered so far. The city has half of the population of the Northwest Territory, a little over 21,000. It is built on the oldest rocks on the earth ... the ancient Precambrian shield dating back 3.8 billion years.
Mount Denali/McKinley 20,320 feet. We saw it on a bus ride into the National Park on one of the few clear days they have had this summer.

On the Dempster Highway to Inuvik, Northwest Territories, and back to Dawson City where we left our trailer for 3 days not connected to a power supply.
Fireweed in front of the creek. Wildflowers were everywhere.
Our road conditions were not always that what we wished for. They included rain, dust, mud, pebbles, and stones of many different sizes.
