Northern California Ramble
October 2008

In October 2008, we decided it was time to take a vacation. Being fall, children were all back in school, and so we had the beautiful northern half of California pretty much all to ourselves.

We started off heading east into the mountains from where we store our travel trailer south of Sacramento. We then headed north through the foothills of the Sierras. When we got to Susanville, we made a large clockwise loop through the remote northeastern California area. Next we went west to the Pacific coast, and then south along the coast, finally arriving home two weeks and 1,800 miles after we after we started.
